As a Guardian ad Litem in family law cases, I am the “next friend” of the minor child(ren), and serve as the voice of the child(ren) in the Court. A GAL is an investigator, the eyes and ears of the Court. As such, I submit reports, attend depositions, mediations and hearings, make recommendations regarding supervised vs. unsupervised timesharing, determine timesharing schedules and parental decision-making authority, and develop parenting plans.
I understand the language of family dysfunction, I relate to hurting children, and I have had extensive experience in the world of high-conflict divorce and parental alienation. As such, I am uniquely positioned to advocate as Guardian ad Litem for at-risk children involved in high-conflict family law litigation.
