PSYCHOTHERAPY:

Psychotherapy is a counseling approach in which a therapist guides a patient through a process designed to increase personal awareness and insight into thoughts, emotions, and behavior. All sessions are, legally and ethically, kept confidential to the highest professional standards as we work toward specific life and relationship goals.

In my private practice, I offer individual, premarital, marital, and adolescent and family therapy. I am trained and experienced in treating all phases of psychological and emotional difficulty, and work with a full range of personal and relational concerns. My professional experience and expertise includes:

I typically do not work with children under six years old, but often work with parents of young children to educate and train in appropriate child-rearing practices and behavioral management strategies.

I maintain a high regard and respect for the personal values and beliefs of every patient, and work only within the stated boundaries presented by each person. Though I never interject personal beliefs, values or biases into the therapeutic process without an invitation, I do provide Christian-based Counseling for those patients who desire this perspective.
