The Honorable Michelle T. Morley, Circuit Court Judge, 5th Judicial Circuit, Sumter County, Florida - 2007

"In October 2007, I appointed B. Kerry Brown as Parenting Coordinator in a high conflict divorce where both parties had remarried.  Numerous hearings had already been held over petty differences between the parties.  Their two children were drawn into the conflict and were bearing the brunt of the hostility between their parents.  The parties’ issues were at first diffused by their new spouses.  Ultimately, the new spouses were drawn into the fray.  No one was communicating, no one was winning and no one was protecting the children from the pour-over.

Kerry did an incredible job of turning things around, getting the parties to talk to one another, having them acknowledge the validity of one another’s feelings, convincing them to focus on their children, and in the end, helping them to reach agreement on the most significant issues. I was not only impressed, I was incredulous!  Kerry demonstrated enormous efficacy with this couple.  Both parties were grateful to him for his involvement in the resolution of many problems that had escalated unnecessarily.  Since that time I have gotten to know Kerry through our mutual service on the Board of the Florida Chapter of the Association of Family Conciliation Courts.

He is compassionate, professional, honest, creative, and a savvy problem solver.  I commend his work to anyone."

“Kerry Brown understands that one's perception -- or, more often, misperception -- of one's circumstances determines one's behavior. Kerry knows how to implement proven strategies to alter persceptions and, by so doing, change behavior. Which, of course, is the desired outcome of psychotherapy. I have seen Kerry obtain excellent results time and time again in a number of different situations.”
